Dr. Carrion is now working with the current editor-in-chief Dr. Steven K. Wilson on the transition.
“Dr. Steven K. Wilson is the creator and inaugural editor-in-chief of the VJPU. The VJPU was established by the ISSM together with dr. Wilson to serve as a forum for sexual medicine to allow its members to exchange notable ideas via the visual medium. Our members are scattered across the globe and prosthetic urology is a tiny subspecialty of sexual medicine. A specific goal was to facilitate the transmission of surgical technique knowledge regarding the implantation of surgical devices related to sexual medicine. ISSM owes dr. Wilson a great deal for all the efforts he put into the VJPU to make it the very successful video journal it now is. ISSM is very thankful to dr. Wilson and his team,” dr. Torres wrote.
The VJPU welcomes your video submissions of anything you feel needs illustrating in the field of sexual medicine. While the VJPU is titled a journal of prosthetic urology, your submission does not have to involve a medical device. We presently have such diverse videos as how to make a surgical video, robot assisted vaso-vasotomy, repair of penile injuries and communication skills development in sexual medicine.
