ISSM Scholarships to ESSM School of Sexual Medicine

It was lovely to hear about the diversity in terms of country of origin, multidisciplinary representation and cultural variations. I was looking forward to a fabulous 10 days of learning and interaction. Sitting in a classroom environment for about 10 hours a day for 10 consecutive days listening to lectures, initially seemed impossible. The faculty and participants made it a truly memorable time.
This course has taught me to approach these aspects from a bio-psycho-social perspective.  I am already getting a better feedback on my approach to the cases I handle.

I must congratulate the management of ISSM to help people from the developing world with scholarships so that they may enhance their clinical skills and broaden their knowledge related to sexual medicine. I’m indebted for this prestigious award, without this award, I should have not been able to attend ESSM School of Sexual Medicine. ISSM is doing a remarkable job to expand the knowledge of Sexual Medicine to economically and politically weaker areas of the world.

First of all I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the ESSM advanced course 2022 possible. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor, and I am deeply appreciative of your support.

As a clinician, I found this course extremely beneficial & impactful. All our mentors were efficient.All sessions were interactive & thought provoking. It was very much welcoming for brain storming. Most importantly its a platform which I found non judgemental, respectful to all cultural & religious differences. It is inclusive in all sense.
This course helped me recognizing my biases attached with sexuality & its expression on the first place. I think, starting a conversation on this topic with my patient has become easier for me after the course.

The course itself was life changing and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to specialise in the area of sexual health. The three facilitators clearly did a remarkable job with brining everything together. There are two critiques. One is that there was a lot of medical information provided and in future in would be very meaningful to include a few more psychological aspects.
Otherwise, the majority of the speakers were insightful and extremely knowledgeable.

Thanks to the ISSM Scholarship, I was one of those who attended this year's School of Sexual Medicine held from 18-27 November 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. I was pleasantly surprised by the organizational and logistical side of the entire course. Long before the start of the School I was informed where the classes would be held, who would be conducting them.

I found the place of the school itself and the way the organization was carried out in separately designated, soundproofed rooms extremely good. The organizers also took care of us during the evening dinner trips, where we had the opportunity for additional night sightseeing in the city. The food, especially the breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, was delicious!
