The deadline to nominate for an ISSM Special Award has passed on September 16, 2022. It is no longer possible to submit your nomination for the 23rd ISSM/SMSNA Scientific Meeting 2022.

The ISSM Excellence in Research Award will be awarded to an inpidual who has contributed significantly to research in sexual medicine. ISSM members are invited to nominate one or more candidates. The deadline for nominations is September 16, 2022.

Who can be nominated? 

  • Applicants should be an ISSM member for at least 2 years prior to the application.
  • Self-nominations are allowed.
  • The research should have had a significant impact on the field of sexual medicine. (The H-index as assessed by public Google Scholar data is one of the judgement criteria).
  • The deadline for applications is September 16, 2022.

Award
The ISSM Grants & Prizes will review all nominations and will make a recommendation to the ISSM Executive Committee for the awardee.

The awardee will be notified in October 2022. The awardee will be featured in an award ceremony during the ISSM/SMSNA Scientific Meeting on Sexual Medicine from October 27-30, 2022 in Miami, USA, where the awardee will receive a plaque. In order to receive the award it is required to be present at the meeting. 

How to nominate?
To nominate a colleague, a complete awards package must be submitted via the ISSM’s online application system.

A complete application must include:

  • Completed nomination form
  • Statement of nomination
  • Nominee’s curriculum vitae (CV)

Award Decision
All applicants will be contacted via email by the ISSM Executive Office regarding the outcome of the adjudication process. At such time, winners will be asked to accept their award, and confirm their attendance at the upcoming ISSM/SMSNA Scientific Meeting on Sexual Medicine from October 27-30, 2022 in Miami, USA.
