At ISSM we believe in developing and promoting new talent amongst our members. The ISSM Future Leaders Program, launched in 2024, recognizes the importance of leadership training for our early career members, who have the potential to become leaders in sexual medicine and within the society. This interactive program is designed to facilitate the sharing of ideas and strategies, to keep the society current, relevant and engaging for the future generations of sexual medicine professionals.

Eleven aspiring young leaders were selected to be part of this exciting initiative, which is designed to foster individual growth and strengthen and secure the long-term stability of the ISSM leadership.

Throughout 2025 and 2026, they participated in a comprehensive leadership training program and worked in groups to complete three innovative capstone projects. The capstone projects were presented to the ISSM leadership and a panel of judges, during a session held at the ISSM/ESSM Annual Meeting in Porto, Portugal, in February 2026.

The 2025-2026 winning project was Project Group 3 - Global Voices in Sexual Medicine.
