Joint ISSM/EUGA Webinar on: Women’s Pelvic Health Today: Clinical Challenges and Ethical Questions

The Joint ISSM/EUGA Webinar on: Women’s Pelvic Health Today: Clinical Challenges and Ethical Questions took place on Friday, January 23, 2026.
This fantastic program is a joint effort between the ISSM and the European Urogynaecological Association (EUGA). This webinar explored the physiological and ethical complexities of female pelvic health. Experts analysed the mechanical influence of the pelvic floor on sexual response cycles and present evidence-based strategies for the pathophysiology and management of coital incontinence. A critical portion of the session was dedicated to the clinical and ethical demarcation between elective female genital cosmetic surgery and female genital mutilation. Viewers will gain multidisciplinary insights into how urogynecological health intersects with patient autonomy and sexual well-being.
