This program is designed for oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, physical therapists, and trainees located in Sub-Saharan Africa. Please note that slots to participate in this Program are limited. If you are not located in Sub-Saharan Africa, then your application will need to be vetted by the Program Committee. You will be informed via email in due course once your registration has been approved.
Certification of attendance/completion will be awarded to anyone who completes 80% (7) of the 9 sessions.
CPD points will be awarded for participants from Kenya.
Dr. Dulcie Wanda is a Radiation Oncology SHO at the Kenyatta National Hospital. She previously worked as the Head of department at the Nakuru PGH Oncology Center.
She is passionate about Oncology and Patient care. Her dedication led to her being Awarded Overall Best Performing Employee of the Year in 2019 in Nakuru County. Her zeal in creating awareness has led to her to be involved in numerous Cancer Awareness campaigns.
I completed my medical degree in 1998 and my Masters in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006 both from the University of Nairobi.
I then went on to do a Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology at the University of Pretoria.
I’m now in private practice in Nairobi.
Dr Bernie completed her urology residency at The University of Rochester and subsequently completed a 2-year fellowship in Male Sexual and Reproductive Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell university. Dr Bernie is a board certified Urologist and the Director of Male Sexual and Reproductive Medicine at Indiana University. She is an Assistant professor of urology and the Andrology Fellowship Director. She developed and co-directs the Male fertility preservation program at IU. She is an active member of the ISSM and the SMSNA and sits on the SMSNA Board of Directors. She specializes in Men’s Health, Erectile Dysfunction, Penile implants, Peyronie’s Disease, Male Infertility, Fertility Preservation and Cancer Survivorship.
Dr Sharon Bober is a Senior Psychologist and Director of the Sexual Health Program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also an Associate Professor in the Dept of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
