We are excited to present the following candidates, selected for their exceptional qualifications and commitment to advancing the goals of the ISSM.
President-Elect (1 position available)

Dr. Linda Vignozzi is Associate Professor in Endocrinology at the University of Florence, and deputy Director of the Department of Experimental and Clinical Biomedical Sciences "Mario Serio". She is Director of Andrology, Women's Endocrinology and Gender Incongruence Unit of Careggi Hospital in Florence, Italy, an accreditated training center of the European Academy of Andrology, reference regional center for diagnosis and therapy of erectile dysfunction, reference regional center for semen cryopreservation, reference center for management of subjects with gender incongruence (CRIG).
She is Vice President of the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence and General Secretary of the Permanent Conference of the Presidents of the Italian Schools of Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Vignozzi received her MD and PhD in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Florence. At the School of Endocrinology and Metabolism - University of Pisa, she received her Postgraduate Specialty Certification in 2011. She is the co-author of over 150 manuscripts, has written several book chapters and invited reviews in the field of male and female sexual and reproductive medicine, hypogonadism and metabolic diseases, male and female genital tract diseases. She has served as a committee member of the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine, Italy Society of Endocrinology, Italian Society of Obesity, International Society for Sexual Medicine, European Society for Sexual Medicine, and most recently served as Chair of the 2021 ISSWSH Scientific Program Committee.

Fernando Facio, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Urology and Chief of the Division of Men’s Health at FAMERP Medical School in Brazil. He served as President of the Latin American Society for Sexual Medicine (SLAMS) from 2021 to 2025. His clinical and academic interests include men’s health, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease, prosthetic surgery, male voiding dysfunction, benign prostatic enlargement, and male infertility.
Dr. Facio completed his medical training, General Surgery internship, and Urology residency at FAMERP/Hospital de Base in Brazil. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Andrology and Sexual Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Arthur Burnett.
He is an active member of the SMSNA, ISSM, AUA, and SLAMS. Dr. Facio has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications, guidelines, and book chapters, and frequently lectures at international meetings. He also serves as Associate Editor of Sexual Medicine Open Access.

Dr. Alexandra Dubinskaya is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic medicine, reconstructive surgery, menopause, and sexual medicine. As a clinician, researcher, educator, and advocate, she is dedicated to advancing women’s health and expanding meaningful conversations around sexual well-being and quality of life.
An internationally trained physician and active leader within ISSM, Dr. Dubinskaya is passionate about building connections across specialties, fostering mentorship, and creating innovative ways to engage the global sexual medicine community. Through her work in research, education, and communication, she is dedicated to helping shape a more connected and forward-thinking future for sexual medicine worldwide.

Christian “Chris” Nelson, PhD, is the Director of the Walther Center for Supportive Oncology at the Indiana University (IU) Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Walther Professor of Supportive Oncology, and Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Nelson also serves as the Chief Resilience Officer for the Cancer Center.
He specializes in improving the quality of life of patients treated for genitourinary malignancies and older adults with cancer. As the psychological liaison to the Genitourinary and Sexual Medicine services, he helps men with prostate cancer who experience treatment-related sexual dysfunction, along with their partners, optimize intimacy before, during, and after treatment. He also works with the Geriatric Disease Management team, providing psychological support to patients aged 65 years and older.

Dr. Mai Ba Tien Dung is a leading expert in Andrology, Sexual Medicine, and Male Infertility in Vietnam, with nearly 30 years of clinical and academic experience. He currently serves as the Head of the Andrology Department at Binh
Dan Hospital and Vice Dean at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
A dedicated member of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) and the Asia-Pacific Society for Sexual Medicine (APSSM) since 2009, Dr. Dung has played a pivotal role in advancing sexual health education and surgical standards across the region. He is currently the Secretary-General of APSSM and Vice President of the Vietnamese Society for Sexual Medicine (VSSM). As an active researcher and international speaker, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers in global journals. His commitment to global collaboration, academic excellence, and expanding medical access makes him a strong candidate to represent the global sexual medicine community.
