What Are Some Sex Enhancement Devices for People With Disabilities?

Hands-free vibrators are usually designed to be worn or sat on. These devices may fit inside a person’s underwear or be attached to the body with straps to provide stimulation that does not require the use of a person’s hands. As such, hands-free vibrators are a great tool for individuals who have limited dexterity, are not able to move their hands, or do not have hands.

Sex position enhancing chairs may be helpful for individuals with medical conditions that cause poor mobility, muscle weakness, and/or fatigue. These chairs are designed to be ergonomically correct for a variety of different sexual positions, providing bodily support and reducing muscle strain during sex.

Wedge pillows can also be beneficial for people with fatigue, muscle weakness, pelvic organ prolapse, and chronic pain because these soft, cushioned wedges/ramps elevate and support the body during sex, making it easier to get into a sex position and stay there.

Huggable vibrators incorporate a memory foam pillow that a person can hug attached to a vibrator that the individual can position between their legs or elsewhere to provide stimulation. This type of vibrator can be helpful for people who have limited fine motor skills because the vibrator transfers the responsibility of maneuvering the device from one’s hands to larger muscle groups.

Bondage with body support can help take and hold a person’s body weight when they are in certain sex positions and allow them to relax into these positions. These supports may be helpful for individuals who have back problems, arthritis, or muscle weakness.

Compressible buffers can be worn on the penetrating partner’s body to control the depth of penetration for the receptive partner. One such buffer includes four rings that can be added or removed based on the receptive partner’s comfort level with penetration. This can be helpful tool for individuals who struggle with pelvic pain that is prompted or aggravated by deep penetration.

Remote operated vibrators make it possible for an individual or their partner to control the settings of the vibrator with their phone or another device like a watch, increasing the ease of use for those with limited strength, flexibility, or dexterity. For people with penises, there are vibrators that slide around the penis and stay in place while they are controlled remotely.

In summary, many devices exist that can help facilitate a more comfortable, pleasurable sexual experience for people with disabilities.
