Some of the more common signs and symptoms of penile cancer include the following:
• Skin changes. Skin might change color or become thicker in certain areas. There may be redness or a rash, particularly under the foreskin.
• A lump or sore. Cancer-related lumps or sores are not always painful, but they can be.
• Discharge from the penis or under the foreskin. This discharge may have a bad odor.
• Irritation and swelling. Lymph nodes may also be swollen if cancer cells have spread from the penis.
These signs and symptoms can be caused by other conditions, too. So it’s important for men with these symptoms to have a thorough examination with a doctor as soon as possible.
