The International Society for Sexual Medicine ISSM is a multidisciplinary, international, non profit society whose focus is research, education and clinical practice in sexual medicine. ISSM's purposes and objectives are to:

• Encourage the highest standards of practise, education and research in the field of human sexual medicine
• Develop scientific methods for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions affecting human sexual function
• Promote publication of medical and scientific literature in the field of sexual medicine

 The ISSM Membership fees are divided in three categories which are based on the World Bank Country Classification. Please click here for more information about the World Bank Country Classification.

• Enter your personal data - don't forget your payment details.
• Fax or email the registration form to the ISSM Executive Office: +31 75 647 637 1 or secretariat@issm.info
• As soon as your data have been processed and payment received you will receive an email to confirm your membership that includes your membership certificate. You will also receive an email with your login details to the website ‘members-only’ section.
• The membership period is for one calendar year (1 January - 31 December) and includes a subscription to the Journal of Sexual Medicine (12 issues per year).

Membership Classes

The International Society for Sexual Medicine will have three classes of member: Full Members, Associate Members and Honorary Members.

Full Members

Full Members of the Society are those persons with specific interest in Sexual Medicine who have appropriate qualification as determined by the Board of Directors. All voting rights of the membership shall be vested in the full members.

Associate members

Associate members of the Society are those persons who do not fulfil the criteria for Full Membership. Associate members shall have no voting rights and may not hold office in the Society.

Honorary Members

Honorary Members of the Society are those persons who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have performed services for the Society warranting their appointment as Honorary Members and who have been elected as Honorary Members by ballot of members at a general meeting of the Society. Honorary members shall have no voting rights and may not hold office in the Society.

Senior Membership

You can apply for ISSM Senior Membership if you have been a Full ISSM Member for at least 10 years and have reached the age of 65 and are fully retired from professional activities. Applications for ISSM Senior Membership should be sent in writing to the ISSM Executive Office. All applications will go through the ISSM Board of Directors for approval. ISSM Senior Members shall be exempt of all dues and assessments. ISSM Senior Members shall not be eligible for office and have no voting rights.

Admission

Any person eligible for membership will be admitted to membership only on the approval of the Board of Directors of an application submitted by that person in the form and manner prescribed by the Board of Directors.
