Sexual Health Q&A
What are some potential complications of circumcision?
Some patients experience bleeding, infection, or inflammation after circumcision. There is also the possibility that too much, or too little, foreskin will be removed. In some cases, remaining foreskin “scars down” and reattaches itself to the tip of the penis. Inclusion cysts, curvature, and urinary retention are other possible complications.
