Sandrine Atallah and Mikkel Fode to become JSM Social Media Editors

The ISSM is pleased to announce that Sandrine Atallah and Mikkel Fode will become the new Journal of Sexual Medicine Social Media Editors under the editor-in-chief dr. John Mulhall.
Sandrine Atallah, MD, MHM, FECSM is a clinical sexologist and a medical hypnotherapist. She graduated as a Medical Doctor from the Saint Joseph medical Faculty (2004). She then obtained her degree in clinical sexology from René Descartes University, Paris V, Faculty of Medicine (2007), and her degree in Medical Hypnosis from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris VI, Faculty of Medicine (2005). She has also qualified as a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine (2014). She has recently obtained a Master in Health and Hospital Management from the ESA (Ecole Superieure des Affaires) and Paris-Diderot (Paris VII) University (2013).
Along with her private medical practice in sexology and hypnosis in Beirut at La Clinique du Levant and at Clemenceau Medical Center, she teaches Clinical Sexology at several Lebanese universities (Saint Joseph medical Faculty in Beirut, LAU, and LGU)
Board member (ordinary director) of the MESSM (Middle East Society of Sexual Medicine: http://www.messm.org/site/), she is the chairman of its Public Awareness Committee and a member of its communication and scientific committees. Actively working on promoting sexual health in the Middle East, she has participated in the development of the MESSM public information website (http://www.yoursexualhealth.me). She is also a board member of the SFMS (Société Francophone de Médecine Sexuelle).
Mikkel Fode, MD, PhD, FECSM received his MD from the University of Aarhus, and his PhD from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has since been working both at department of Urology, Herlev Hospital dividing his time between research and clinical work with the main focus on andrology and sexual medicine. In addition he is responsible for supervising and teaching medical students and PhD students and he has organised and taught at courses on a variety of urological topics.
Dr. Fode’s main research interests include post prostatectomy sexual dysfunction, testosterone deficiency, male LUTS and male infertility. He has published more than 40 papers, clinical guidelines and book chapters in these areas and he currently works to expand both the research efforts and the general interest in andrology in Scandinavia.
Among his responsibilities in professional societies Dr. Fode is the president of the Scandinavian Society for Sexual Medicine and serves on the board of the European Society for Sexual Medicine as advisory board representative for affiliated societies. He is also a board member of the Danish Andrological group within the Danish Association of Urology.
Dr. Fode will be the co-chairman of the upcoming ESSM congress in Copenhagen, February 2015.
